A Sustainability Coordinator at UMD

Making sustainability a central theme for everything we do at UMD will require a lot of coordination and communication. To fill this role, UMD has hired Mindy Granley as their new Campus Sustainability Coordinator. As of September 24, Mindy will work to bring together sustainability efforts in campus operations, education and research and community outreach.

Mindy's specialty is in watershed science, and she most recently worked in coastal resource management for the Minnesota's Lake Superior Coastal Program. She holds a Master's degree in Water Resources Science from the University of Minnesota, and B.S. in Hydrogeology/Environmental Geology from UMD. In addition, she spent a summer helping research climate change in the Canadian Arctic and did graduate work through the University of Massachusetts.
